BRC Storage and Distribution Certification

SGS offers certification to the global standard for Storage and Distribution, as set out by the British Retail Consortium (BRC). BRC Storage and Distribution certification through SGS gives you a competitive edge by demonstrating your legal compliance and competence regarding food quality and product safety.

Our global network allows us to offer certification to the BRC Storage and Distribution standard wherever you (or your suppliers) are, throughout the international food supply chain. The standard is applicable to providers of storage and distribution services to food, packaging and consumer products manufacturers. It also applies if you store and provide contracted services on pre-packed food products (e.g. if you perform product inspections and/or assembly packing).

Whatever the location, we use auditors who speak the local language and understand local culture to conduct the annual inspections that are a requirement of the standard. This helps ensure that good safety management practices are being followed at all times.
