South Korea – Toy KC Certification

South Korea KC certification services from SGS ensure toys comply with requirements for sale and distribution in the South Korean market.

Toys entering South Korea are subject to KC Certification under the Self-Regulatory Confirmation System, as mandated by the Quality Management and Safety Control of Industrial Products Act. Only compliant toys displaying the Korean KC Mark can enter the market.

Partner with SGS to bring safe and compliant toys to South Korea. We have the knowledge and expertise to support domestic manufacturers and importers to carry out the necessary testing and certification efficiently and professionally.

What is KC Certification under the Self-Regulatory Safety Confirmation System?

  1. The domestic manufacturer or importer applies to a Product Certification Body
  2. Toys must be tested by a laboratory approved by the Korean authorities
  3. On successful completion of the toy assessment, the domestic manufacturer or importer will receive the safety confirmation number (Notification number). Registered toys must bear the KC self safety confirmation mark

Contact SGS to find out what safety requirements apply to your toys for South Korea and how we can help.
