The first edition of ISO 26262 is not focused on the development of semiconductors, but more and more safety mechanisms are implemented at IC and IP level of semiconductors.

We qualify you or your staff for working with Functional Safety. SGS-TÜV Saar has developed a 2-step qualification programme for this purpose. After successful completion of this programme the SGS-TÜV Saar seal confirms to the attendee that he/she is an expert for Functional Safety.

Steps required: participation in the courses SC1 and SC2.

Module SC1 (1 day)

This module starts by taking on the essential requirements of the ISO 26262 on the safety management and supporting processes. Then, the typical process steps presented, which are necessary for an ISO 26262 compliant semiconductor development.

  • Functional Safety Management (FSM)
  • Tailoring of the safety lifecycle
  • Process steps and structure for the SEooC

Module SC2 (2 days)

Building on module SC1, in which the emphasis is placed on management activities and processes, the individual process steps are considered in detail in module SC2. Using examples and exercises the stepwise approach is presented taking into account the recommendations of ISO / PAS 19451.
