Maintaining and improving a food safety or quality management system is an ongoing challenge when things remain the same. Changes to the product, system, equipment, supply chain or process increases the challenge and adds risk. Is your change management process robust enough to manage the food safety risks associated with changes?
To effectively introduce changes, the team must understand the risk of the change and the consequences to all aspects of the management system. A change management process will provide the structure to ensure effective implementation of change. No matter what certification you have (i.e. BRCGS, FSSC, ISO etc.), you are required to demonstrate the control during the change process.
The objective of this webinar is for participants to understand the risks of change and how to mitigate those risks within a food safety & quality management system.
- Why worry about managing change?
- Change management and the risks of change without management
- Requirements for change management (ISO and GFSI standards)
- How can we control the changes without excessive administration?
- Who should be in involved? (The right people “in the room” or “zoom” as it may be)
- How can we keep it simple?
