SGS Brookings Attains NFTA Accreditation
SGS Brookings has attained the status of a National Forage Testing Association Certified Laboratory. The National Forage Testing Association (NFTA) is a joint effort of the American Forage and Grassland Council, National Hay Association and forage testing laboratories to improve the accuracy of forage testing among laboratories. Since its formation, reproducibility of lab results among laboratories has dramatically improved. Various lab methods have been reviewed and improved. Over 150 laboratories annually participate in the certification process.
To be designated as Certified, labs were required to receive a grade of “C” or higher on cumulative BIAS TOTAL ACCURACY for all analyses (DM, CP, ADF, NDF) averaged across eight controlled samples during 2012.
The NFTA accreditation highlights SGS as a continued global entity in feed, grain and forage analysis.
SGS is the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. SGS is recognized as the global benchmark for quality and integrity. With more than 75,000 employees, SGS operates a network of over 1,500 offices and laboratories around the world.
