SGS will sponsor and exhibit at this year's Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) Annual Convention and Tradeshow – the largest show in the hotel industry.

Over 4,000 attendees are anticipated at this year’s event, which takes place at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, 201 Waterfront St, Oxon Hill, Maryland March 27-30, 2018.

The four-day event brings together hotel industry professionals and vendors who will convene to make the types of connections that maximize business potential; with dynamic speakers, robust education sessions and numerous networking opportunities. Hundreds of vendors will be represented on the expansive trade show floor.

On day three of the event (March 29) Peter Hvidberg - Global Head of Travel & Hospitality at SGS, will address the topic ‘Meeting the Challenge: Mitigating Risk in the Hospitality Sector Today’ where he will present ‘Hospitality Experience (HX)’ a new and comprehensive property audit solution from SGS designed to maximize the guest experience within the hotel industry.

• Risk: to evaluate buildings, food and water safety, as well as cyber security, business continuity and overall property security
• Sustainability: focuses on waste and energy management to deliver cost-saving options
• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): proves commitment to CSR and risk reduction, as well as compliance and transparency to guests
• Quality of Service Experience (QX): an in-depth review of a property’s service with a series of mystery guest audits

HX offers three levels of certification: HX Platinum: HX Gold and HX Silver that can be used to display a property’s commitment to all four modules to ensure an optimal level of guest experience and satisfaction.
