Hank Karayan, Global FSMA Program Manager of SGS, a leading global supplier of auditing and certification services for the food industry, will present:  Supplier Audits and FSMA Certification at the Solutions Stage at 1pm on Thursday, May 10.

“This step-change requires US manufacturers, importers, and foreign suppliers, to update and align their policies and processes to meet the applicable rules in FSMA.

 “I’ll cover the main differentiators between supplier verification audits and FSMA certification – the audit processes, the scope, outcome and applicability of each program to food importers and manufacturers. Although many will already have food safety programs, and likely certifications in place, I’ll explain the necessary steps to ensure a FSMA compliant supply chain through audits and certification.”
