SGS is to attend and sponsor the AIAG Supply Chain Summit which takes place June 19, 2018 at Laurel Manor in Livonia, Michigan.

 

Organized by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), this year’s summit seeks to provide opportunities for the industry to understand best practices and become better equipped to manage inevitable change. The event will highlight the influx of new technologies, new mindsets and new ways of doing business which are transforming the world of supply chain management.

 

Topics on the agenda include Industry 4.0, international trade, big data and analytics, finished vehicle logistics, cyber security, generational knowledge transfer and more. Session highlights include:

  • NAFTA – Where is it Really Heading? A discussion of developments related to new US tariffs on certain steel and aluminum products from around the globe; and special tariffs between the US and China, which can be expected to impose new barriers for the next generation of hi-tech products and systems

     

  • Digitizing the Supply Chain: How Industry 4.0 is Changing the Game A look at the various and complex ways Industry 4.0 technologies and digital disruptions impact the supply chain and business models

     

  • Responsible Sourcing – Are You Engaged? Exploring the ways in which the automotive industry is evolving to address the increasing global demand for transparency in the supply chain and the expectations that supply chains incorporate responsibly sourced materials and are free from human rights abuses
