SGS Awards EXCiPACT GMP Certification to Vanderbilt Chemicals Site in Kentucky, USA

The certification demonstrates that the site manufactures magnesium aluminum silicate and purified bentonite for use as pharmaceutical excipients according to the 2017 EXCiPACT GMP Certification Standard.

EU and US pharmaceutical regulations require drug manufacturers to conduct either their own or third-party physical risk assessment audits of all their starting material suppliers to demonstrate GMP and/or GDP compliance. Pharmaceutical excipient certification, through EXCiPACT accreditation, is a voluntary international scheme to provide independent third-party certification of manufacturers, suppliers and distributors of pharmaceutical excipients worldwide.
