As the world’s foremost testing, inspection, and certification company, SGS operate with an intense commitment to continually expand the scope and scale of its accreditations, certifications, and technical expertise.

Beginning 2018, SGS MSi has worked tirelessly on their Nadcap initiative. Nadcap (formerly NADCAP, the National Aerospace and primary Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is a global cooperative accreditation program for aerospace engineering, defense, and related industries. Achieving Nadcap accreditation with a commitment to test methodology enlargement is a prerequisite for becoming an integrated added value technical partner to aircraft and propulsion manufacturers and the critical global supply chain necessary to support them.

In 2019, SGS MSi received full accreditation for test specimen manufacturing and mechanical testing after a very successful maiden audit. In October 2021, after a near-perfect audit, the Melrose Park team took the next critical step in the journey by adding 14 new accredited service offerings related to metallographic evaluations and chemical analysis.

Additional Nadcap scope expansion is already in progress for 2022.
