Stellatins Detroit Mack Plant Receives ISO 9001

In a ceremony on January 14, 2022, attended by Stellantis and union officials, Samson Baby of SGS presented Plant Manager Michael Brieda with their new ISO 9001 certificate.

The Quality Team at Stellantis' new assembly plant in Detroit achieved their first certification to ISO 9001, the international standard for a quality management system, after a rigorous audit by SGS North America. In a ceremony on January 14, 2022, attended by Stellantis and union officials, Samson Baby of SGS presented Plant Manager Michael Brieda with their new ISO 9001 certificate.

The Detroit Assembly Complex – Mack (DACM) is the newest automotive plant for Stellantis, producing the company’s Jeep® Grand Cherokee, with both two- and three-rows of seats, and the PHEV version which will launch in early 2022. With construction beginning in 2019, DACM is the first new automotive plant constructed in Detroit in 30 years, with the inaugural shipment of new vehicles leaving the plant in June 2021. DACM employs more than 4,800 workers.
